For instance, work areas within a larger space, such as a garage, workshop or warehouse. They are also excellent solutions for defrosting, keeping frost away and drying objects.</p>
<h1><strong>Infrared Heating</strong></h1>
<p>Infrared or radiant heat, which the XL 91 uses, has some distinct advantages over air heating, which make it perfect for spot heating. Infrared heat, for instance, transfers heat via radio waves. These waves cannot be disrupted by wind or drafts. They simply travel in a fixed direction. Heated air, on the other hand, rises and can be moved by wind or drafts. This makes spot heating far easier to achieve with infrared as the heat can be directed and focussed on a location with greater accuracy.</p>
<h2><strong>Drying and defrosting</strong></h2>
<p>The XL 91 is great for drying and defrosting objects. Again, because of its infrared heating technique, heat is actively transferred into materials. Be it your skin, metal pipework or a plaster wall, the heat rays of infrared penetrate the molecules that comprise these things. Transferring energy into these molecules, the object is warmed up.</p>
<p>Transferring heat energy into an object can be particularly useful for defrosting and drying as the object is warmed to a level that will unlock humidity or keep it further away from a freezing temperature.</p>
<h1><strong>High-powered heating</strong></h1>
<p>The Master XL 91 boasts 29 kW (low) and 43 kW (high) heat settings. To put this power into perspective, it can be helpful to draw a comparison with home boilers, which tend to be in the region of 25 &#8211; 40 kW. Depending on the size of a house, the boiler will be selected depending on the number of radiators and bathrooms it needs to heat. The Master XL 91, designed for open spaces, concentrates heat on a small area.&nbsp;</p>
<h1><strong>Efficiency and autonomy</strong></h1>
<p>Infrared heaters use less electrical power than air heaters as they do not need to power fans. Moreover, for the power it creates, the XL 91 is remarkably efficient. Fuel burned is turned into heat, which is near immediately transferred into the surrounding space. Therefore, to create 43 kW of heat energy the Master XL 91 only uses 4.03L of fuel per hour. (At 29kW this is 2.7L/H.) With a 60L tank, on the lower setting, the XL 91 can run continuously for 21 hours. (On the high setting it will run for 14 hours.)</p>
<h2><strong>Thermostat</strong></h2>
<p>The Master XL 91 can be fitted with a digital or analogue thermostat. Easily overlooked, due to their simplicity, these devices are incredibly handy for regulating temperature. Turning the heater off once a higher temperature threshold is reached, the thermostat will restart when the temperature drops. Saving you from doing this manually, when you feel warm or cold, the thermostat naturally increases fuel autonomy, meaning the heater will not need refilling as often.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The Master XL 9SR-91 is an oil-powered (diesel or kerosene) infrared heater. Primarily intended as a powerful spot heater for warming in open spaces and even outside, the XL 9SR-91 is also a great solution for drying and defrosting.</p>
<h1>Penetrative, active heating</h1>
<h2>Undeterred by wind and rain</h2>
<p>The XL9SR-91 utilises short-wave infrared to generate heat. The same as the sun (which is pretty good at generating heat). Short-wave heat energy is particularly effective outside and in open but enclosed spaces as it cannot be disrupted by airflow. The heat energy can also travel horizontally. Air heaters do not boast these advantages as hot air rises and can be blown away.</p>
<h2>Drying</h2>
<p>Infrared heat is penetrative by nature, as the heat energy is transferred into solid materials rather than the atmosphere. For example, if you were trying to dry a wall, infrared heat waves enter it. Hot air only touches the surface and is not conducted very well, meaning the surface can be dried first, locking humidity inside the object. With the heat from an infrared source getting deeper into an object it is dried quicker and from the inside.</p>
<h2>Defrosting</h2>
<p>Infrared heat makes defrosting effective too as the object you want to keep from frosting over is made to store its own heat more efficiently, keeping the frost off it for much longer.</p>
<h1>Multiple Heat Controls</h1>
<p>The XL 9SR comes with several handy features to help you control the temperature of the space you are working in. The first of these is a high and low option for the burner. The second is an analogue thermostat.</p>
<h2>High and Low</h2>
<p>The high setting of the XL 9SR generates a whopping 43kW of heating power, the low… a still pretty darn toasty 29kW. To put this into context, the XL 9SR radiates heat in excess of that which a typical home boiler generates to power 10 &#8211; 20+ radiators in a medium to large home. Concentrated in one spot, however, the XL 9SR is intended to rapidly and thoroughly heat objects and people within a confined location.</p>
<h2>Analogue thermostat</h2>
<p>In extension to its dual power options, the Master XL 9SR also comes with an analogue thermostat. Using a simple dial to set the temperature that you want, the thermostat will start and stop the heater as the temperature slightly exceeds and drops below this setting.</p>
<h1>Great Fuel Autonomy</h1>
<p>The thermostat and dual heat controls help the XL 9SR last longer between fuel refills. The low heat setting uses 2.7 litres an hour, while the higher setting uses 4.03 L/H. If left to run continuously, therefore, the XL 9SR can last for 21 hours on the low setting and 14 hours on its higher setting.</p>
<p>With the addition of the thermostat turning the heater on and off to keep a steady temperature, will last even longer, meaning you will not be running backwards and forwards with fuel every 5 minutes!</p>
<h1>Mobile and directional</h1>
<p>Intended as a spot heater, the XL 9SR really can heat the spot you want it to. The XL 9SR is trolley mounted, meaning it can easily be moved to locations you need it. Moreover, the burner and radiator are mounted on a frame that allows them to be angled upward or downward. As mentioned before, the infrared heat type that the XL 9SR means the heat waves travel in the direction they are projected. Therefore, pointing it right where you want it to, will mean the heat goes to where you want it.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The Master DC 61 is an infrared heater designed with portability as its main objective. Boasting an ergonomic handle, compact design and weight, the DC 61 comes with a battery power pack, mains and 110V power kit. These make the Master DC 61 a highly versatile and mobile heating solution. They are particularly useful for working on construction sites where portability and their selection of power input options become invaluable. For example, if you have limited mains or 110V transformer outputs, the option of powering the DC61 via its battery sets it apart from other heaters.</p>
<h1>Infrared (short-wave) heating</h1>
<p>The Master DC 61 uses short-wave infrared to generate heat. What this means is that it heats objects, surfaces and people directly, not wasting energy on heating and moving air. Using our construction site example again, this can be particularly useful as it can be used to dry surfaces without disrupting air and dust. It also penetrates more deeply into surfaces, unlocking any humidity. And, lastly, it also means heated air is not simply lost, in poorly insulated spaces. Infrared heat is unaffected by wind, fog and rain.</p>
<h1>Battery-Powered</h1>
<p>Despite generating heat by burning fuel, all the heaters in our range require some electrical power. They typically require this small amount of power to inject and regulate the fuel supply. What sets the DC 61 apart is its DC and AC power options. It can be powered by mains, 110V or battery power.</p>
<p>The DC 61 comes with a battery and charger. Quick charging, the battery will run for four hours, only requiring one hour to recharge itself fully.</p>
<h1>Efficient Power</h1>
<p>As stated above, the DC 61 produces short-wave infrared heat. This means heat energy is not lost so easily, in uninsulated or unsheltered/unenclosed spaces. In excess of this heating methodology, the Master DC 61 generates 17kW of heat energy at 1.6 litres of fuel consumption per hour.</p>
<h1>Great Fuel Autonomy</h1>
<p>Naturally, the DC 61, is designed for portability, only has a small fuel tank. However, if it is run constantly, with a full tank, it will still last 7 hours. Moreover, its fuel tank is only 11L making refills less challenging than the larger heaters!</p>
<h1>How do I get one of these fabulous heaters?</h1>
<p>The Master DC 61 is a short-wave infrared oil-powered heater. Radiating heat, rather than warming the air, these heaters generate a penetrating, highly efficient form of heat. They are perfect for spot heating unenclosed spaces, defrosting machinery or drying surfaces and materials.&nbsp;</p>
