The Ehrle KD940 is the first three-phase pressure washer in the Ehrle KD range. With the additional power input that three-phase supplies, the KD940 is able to get more from a similar medium-sized pump-chassis configuration as the 823. What this means is the KD940 can produce greater pressure and water flow (30-190 BAR; 5-14 LPM; both fully controllable), while being over 30KG lighter than the KD1140.
The Ehrle KD940 also utilises several devices and operations that extend their life and increase their reliability. For instance, Ehrle’s prized triplex-piston pump runs at a steady 1400RPM, lowering strain on its moving parts.
In addition to this, the KD940 uses start-stop, total-stop and leak-recognition technology to further increase its potential lifespan. For example, the start-stop function reduces work on the pump and seals, by placing the pressure washer on standby each time the trigger gun is released. (The added benefit of this function is that it effectively turns your trigger gun into a remote control.)
Consistent with other KDs, the KD940 can store most of what it needs on itself. For example, two lances and guns can rest on top of the machine, in moulded holders, and the rear of the washer boasts a moulded ravel for its power cord. The premium model also comes with a hose reel and 15m hose, making unpacking and packing up after a job that bit easier.
Both standard and premium models of the KD940 boast integrated tanks, which also reduce the need for transporting tanks of chemical (standard) and water (premium) separately. (See below, to find out more about the differences between Standard and Premium KD models.)

A significant difference between standard and premium KDs is the function of their integrated storage tank. On the standard model, for instance, the tank is intended for chemical/detergent. However, on the premium model, it is intended as a water break tank. Therefore, the number of external tanks required is reduced.
These subtle differences between tank types facilitate different capabilities. For example, the premium KD823, while requiring an external detergent tank, supports fully user-controllable chemical dosing at high pressures. In other words, you can not only apply chemicals at high and various pressures, but you can control just how much detergent you apply in cleaning.
The standard model, on the other hand, does not require a chemical tank to be transported with it. Instead, it stores the chemical in its integrated detergent tank. However, neither dosing nor high-pressure chemical application is available on the standard model.
The other differences between standard and premium models are peripheral, with the premium specification coming with several handy extras (see comparison table below).
