The Ehrle KD1340 is a three-phase powered, cold water pressure washer. Pushing out a fully user-variable 30 - 170 BAR of pressure, the KD1340s killer performance lies in its flow rate. Capable of over 21 litres per minute (in other words: able to fill 42 bottles of Coca-Cola every minute… assuming you have a Coca-Cola tap.) the KD1340s cleaning potential lies not only in its ability to break up dirt, but to wash it away in spades too.
KD1340s boast several performance-enhancing features such as Ehrle’s prized triplex-piston pump, a striking red impact-resistant ABS cover and a self-supporting, rotation-moulded chassis. But how do these features benefit you?
Like the secret recipes your Grandma uses to make delicious food, the Triplex-piston pump is Ehrle’s secret recipe. With components constructed from optimal materials (brass pump head, ceramic pistons etc.), it is a design they have tweaked and refined over decades of feedback and testing. Moreover, it is a configuration, in different sizes, that they use in 75% (if not more) of their pressure-washer product line. Using it in so many pressure washer builds, Ehrle has faith in their pump's performance and reliability.
It’s Red. Do we need to say more? We do? Ok.
Not only an eye-catcher, the ABS cover of a KD1340 protects the pump, motor and electronics from debris, dirt and other potentially damaging foreign objects. Greatly reducing the chance of damage, the potential lifespan of your KD1340 is dramatically increased.
The rotation-moulded chassis extends to an ergonomic handle, giving the KD1340 a rigid structure. This rigidity makes the KD both tougher and easier to transport.
Similar to other KD models, the KD1340 can store and transport most of what it needs. For instance, its gun and two lances can rest on top of the machine is specially moulded holders. The rear of the washer also boasts a moulded ravel for its power cord and the premium KD1340 comes with an integrated hose reel and 15m hose.
All KDs come with a single integrated tank. On the standard model, this tank is for chemicals. On the premium model, it is for water. (See below, to find out more about the differences between Standard and Premium KD models.)

A significant difference between standard and premium KDs is the function of their integrated storage tank. On the standard model, for instance, the tank is intended for chemical/detergent. However, on the premium model, it is intended as a water break tank. Therefore, the number of external tanks required is reduced.
These subtle differences between tank types facilitate different capabilities. For example, the premium KD1340, while requiring an external detergent tank, supports fully user-controllable chemical dosing at high pressures. In other words, you can not only apply chemicals at high and various pressures, but you can control just how much detergent you apply in cleaning.
The standard model, on the other hand, does not require a chemical tank to be transported with it. Instead, it stores the chemical in its integrated detergent tank. However, neither dosing nor high-pressure chemical application is available on the standard model.
The other differences between standard and premium models are peripheral, with the premium specification coming with several handy extras (see comparison table below).
